Skid steers are rated for lift capacity and tipping capacity. Usually the lift capacity is about 1/3rd the tipping capacity. I doubt that 10k will get you a decent condition bigger ss.

The only benefit I see of a 1550 is quick on and off the machine vs a sit on machine, so weigh price vs function and then you are in small full-size skid steers and articulated loader land.
